All things, whether of the earth or made by humans are in a constant state of transition, or as Leonard Koren describes, “…in a constant, never ending state of becoming and dissolving.”  The process of transition may occur for mere minutes, seasons, years, or even millennia.  At every stage in the process of change there is beauty.  I have explored the forests and wetlands finding this beauty in nature as trees and plants fade and decay.  They are visual evidence of

wabi-sabi imperfection and the evanescence of life in the moment.
